gardengirl history
Gardengirl was formed and created by Rebecca Stewart during the summer of 2006. She has been a keen gardener from a very young age spending many of her younger years experimenting in the family garden.
After graduating from university in 2002 she went on to further her education with an HND in Horticulture, studying at the well known scottish agricultural college based at Auchincruive, Ayrshire. Following her extreme love of gardening, she built up a steady client base while studying, this gave her wonderful practical experience to work alongside the knowledge she was gaining from her studies, and leading her into the world of gardengirl.
Over the past two years much of her time has been spent working as a gardener in many interesting and exciting Ayrshire gardens. With varied requests for all things ‘garden’ gardengirl has is now specialising in an ever-changing collection of decorative and useful garden products.
Rebecca has gone on to receive an award from the Princes Trust, taking runner up prize in Ayrshire’s Young Entrepreneur of the year 2008.
